Master of Arts Maja Pogacnik: I was born in 1959 in Kranj, Slovenia. After Middle School for Design in Ljunbljana I studied illustration, photography and graphic design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.

1989, after some years as a graphic designer and illustrator (participation in "JCA Annual 7", Tokyo), I turned towards painting under the influence of Tai Qi Chuan, meditation, calligraphy and rhythm. In recent years I developed interest in mobile installations and art in the landscape (Land-art).
In 2002 I changed from calligraphic painting to painting with natural color pigments, bound with eggyolk.

1995 to 2002 study travels to Sri Lanka, China, India, Portugal and Spain.

2002- 2004 School for Geomanticy at Institute "Raum und Mensch" in Austria.

End of 2003 I moved from Lower Austria to Southern Bavaria. Here I live and work as a freelance artist near the town Füssen.
